Eric Sumsion was a gardener and curator with the Wodonga Shire. Mr Sumsion created a garden (part of Belvoir Park) with a dream of creating a recreational facility for the community in 1957. After he retired in 1961 the garden was named in his honour.
Today Sumsion Gardens is a premier open space in Wodonga. Set alongside Belvoir Park Lake, the parklands contain a multitude of recreational facilities. With a walking track that circles the lake, taking a journey along this path you will encounter seating and barbecue facilities, enabling you to have lunch with a view. Stroll further along and find the children's play equipment and a dog park on the other side of the lake. This picturesque location is the ideal place to engage in the community, and the Unisite Group is extremely honoured that our timber image Citistyle seating and table settings, as well as our Frontier BBQ, have been utilised to compliment the natural beauty of the area.
