The goal for the redevelopment of the Lions Park in Gladstone was to create a park that offers different spaces for children and adults of all abilities to explore and make sense of the world. Focusing on the seven senses; hearing, sight, smell, taste, touch, vestibular and proprioception the products placed within the park needed to compliment these elements. Unisite Group was fortunate enough to deliver furniture and barbeques into this project that reflect these goals.
Installing the Grillex Frontier BBQ provides access for people of all abilities to utilise the cooking facilities of the park. The Frontier is designed so that wheelchairs can be easily wheeled up to the barbecue and the user can cook comfortably from their chair. The Grillex BBQ appeals to the sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing senses.
The Citistyle benches, table settings and bins compliment the surrounding parklands providing facilities for people to gather comfortably within the space and keep the area clean. Although these products only appeal to sight & touch, their aesthetics and usability compliment the overall structure of the park.
